| Fort Worth Via Media is an organization of ordained and lay Episcopalians in the Diocese of Fort Worth who are going to remain within the Episcopal Church of the United States of America. Since its inception in 2004, Fort Worth Via Media has worked diligently to keep the people of the Diocese of Fort Worth informed and has looked for ways to encourage and empower them to remain in the Episcopal Church. Over the years, there have been over 50 splits and schisms from The Episcopal Church. In November 2008 The diocese of Fort voted to leave The Episcopal Church. Many loyal Episcopalians were forced to leave their church homes. A special diocesan convention was called in February 2009 by the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church to reorganize the diocese under the authority of the General Convention. So that all Episcopalians can recognize the symptoms of schism we here-by publish our story:
Now that our diocese has been reorganized, Via media has turned its attention to sustaining that growth and helping others who are being threatened by some form of schism.
