“Episcopalians for the Future” in Fort Worth

All persons with an interest in the recent happenings in the Episcopal Church are invited to this forum. The focus will be on our shared Christian faith and confidence in the future of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth. Registration and coffee will begin at 8:30 am with Bonnie Anderson’s keynote address at 9:15. Following will be 3 sessions, with lunch between sessions 2 and 3:

Who's In and Who's Out?
-- A Primer on the Anglican Communion
Autonomous, Bicameral, and Canonical
-- the ABCs of The Episcopal Church
How Many Episcopalians does it take to…
-- No joke, an action plan for the future.

Then there will be a question and answer session with Bonnie. Lunch, refreshments and materials will be included with each registration fee. For those who pre-register, free child care will be provided by certified child care attendants at Trinity Episcopal Church, located adjacent to the south side of TCU.

In accepting the invitation to speak in Fort Worth, Anderson stated, “I welcome this opportunity to be in the diocese to meet with those in the diocese who love the Episcopal Church and support God's ministry of reconciliation and healing in a troubled world. The leadership of the Episcopal Church has been paying close attention to the events in the Diocese of Fort Worth and will continue to work with and support faithful Episcopalians. I look forward to renewing acquaintances and meeting others who want to live out their baptismal vows of proclaiming the Good News, seeking Jesus Christ in all persons and striving for justice and peace.”

“Episcopalians for the Future” is co-hosted by the Brite Divinity School and Fort Worth Via Media. The Dee J. Kelly Alumni and Visitors Center is at 2820 Stadium Drive and has ample free parking. Pre-registration is requested by 9/1/07. Child care requirements can only be handled for those who pre-register. Pre-registration can be completed online at http://www.fwviamedia.org, or by mail.
