Nancy Key is a founder of Remain Episcopal in the Diocese of San Joaquin and one of the founders of Via Media USA, of which Fort Worth Via Media is a member. Key has played an important role in the reconstruction of her diocese in the wake of the decision of its bishop, some of the clergy and many laypeople to leave The Episcopal Church. Her experience and information is timely for the Diocese of Fort Worth as we anticipate the second vote by our diocesan convention that purports to withdraw our diocese from The Episcopal Church. All persons with an interest in the recent happenings in the Episcopal Church are invited to attend, but this meeting will be of special interest to those Episcopalians who plan to remain part of The Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Fort Worth. Registration and coffee will begin at 9:00 a.m. Nancy Key's address will begin at 9:30 followed by a question and answer session. The Botanic Gardens main entrance is on the west side of North University Drive, north of I-30. There is ample free parking. In preparing for her diocese's special convention, Nancy stated, "What is before us at this moment, is an opportunity of amazing magnitude. It is ours to celebrate the love of Jesus Christ through The Episcopal Church here, at home, in our diocese. It is our vision to create a diocese that welcomes all, blest by the gifts of all, accepting -- welcoming, actually! -- our differences. We wish not to be known as rich or poor, clergy or laity, black or white, conservative or liberal. We wish to be people of God, here, all of us. We wish to be in communion with one another, humbly thankful for one another as God's beloved creation.” Pre-registration is requested by Saturday, 3/29/08. Pre-registration can be completed in either of two ways:
